Chalet 2008 6G

Finally over. A pity that they never learn their lesson. Kept wanting to stay wake but cannot make it till morning. Told them so many times but they refused to listen. Well serve them right, but poor me had to stay awake the whole night to keep watch over them. I know they would not listen to me because I have been talking much sense into them from the limited time I spent with them so I know for sure they would not heed my instruction and follow strictly to me commands. Well, when will they ever learn? Came back and sleep for dunno how long and that I'm going to sleep somemore once I get to bathe......oh how I miss my lovely bed and pillow. Yawn......goodnite.

Peer pressure - what is it really? When I was young, my mother always like to compare me with my neighbours and friends. Most of the time I'm at the lower end of the scale. I really hated it. I never ask to be compared but she kept doing it right infront of me. Hence I swear, I will never compete with anyone except myself. That's when I really felt relaxed. My journey to mark 42 years of my life

I intend to use this post to mark my journey to 42 years of my life. I intend to run 42 km, the equivalent of a marathon in December this year to remember every year of my life and to make this a key milestone. I want to conquer this mission i took up to celebrate my life and to enjoy whatever is to come.  The route I planned starts from where I live and goes round the North-East and East coast of Singapore. The most challenging part of the route would be the Changi Coast Road, where there will be no pit stop, no water point. I guess that's the challenge I have to overcome running my own marathon, no cheer leaders, no pacers, no masseurs to massage my tired legs and no first aid. I currently only put on paper a distance of 40 km. My target is to complete it within 5 hours, given my condition and also for pit stops along the way. To be continued......

Day 37 of GC

Positive attracts positive. I was running this morning and I was having a negative mindset, I was trying to chase two guys in front of me. Wanting to keep pace with them but I slowly watch them get out of my sight because I couldn't keep up. I suddenly have an idea, I put on a smile on my face and started to greet strangers running past me "Good Morning". Those who responded to my greetings smile and it gave me the energy to continue running. Now, my mind wasn't on running anymore, I was looking for the next stranger to greet and to get a response from. It was beautiful and I manage to finish my run with any problem.
