I intend to use this post to mark my journey to 42 years of my life. I intend to run 42 km, the equivalent of a marathon in December this year to remember every year of my life and to make this a key milestone. I want to conquer this mission i took up to celebrate my life and to enjoy whatever is to come.  The route I planned starts from where I live and goes round the North-East and East coast of Singapore. The most challenging part of the route would be the Changi Coast Road, where there will be no pit stop, no water point. I guess that's the challenge I have to overcome running my own marathon, no cheer leaders, no pacers, no masseurs to massage my tired legs and no first aid. I currently only put on paper a distance of 40 km. My target is to complete it within 5 hours, given my condition and also for pit stops along the way. To be continued......

A little disappointed that I could not get hold of the sg50 RX78-2 Gundam but was happy that I could get up close to the gigantic gundam outside Ngee Ann City. The stock they had was very limited and not much choice to chose from. Finally got over to Toys R us to get the bear guy for my daughter for her first Gunpla. Hope that she will like it.  

As promised last week that I will visit the Gunpla Exposition 2014 at Bugis+, here's my report. Well similar to what we had last year but on a different venue this time. Gundam is celebrating 35 years of Gundam era since the first Gundam anime started way back in 1979. I couldn't remember which Gundam anime was that but it was one of the questions asked by the emcee and the contestant got the answer right. I didn't have the courage to answer any question for fear that I might not be able to give the right answer else you would be able to see what is in the Goodie bag they are giving this year. Maybe next year I would, just have to wait and see. Ok here are the photos, enjoy.     Some familiar Gundams you see here, can you name any of them?   I must say that this year's Gundam girls were disappointing. They should have at least invite the Japanese they had last year. The Singaporean models simply can't make it.     Finally, the MechaCosplay...

My first year visiting this convention as I don't really fancy this kind of things but somehow or rather I was determined to make a trip this year and since its holiday I made the most of it. The entry price to the convention was pricey, at 19 bucks it seems like it would turn down a lot of people on a tied shoestring budget. I spent 38 bucks to get both me and my wife in but luckily kids go free. My girl was fascinated by the beauty costumes of the cosplayers and I thought they really did a decent job posing as the real life version of the characters. However, I was about to nitpick a few of those lesser ones who by the first rule of thumb should not pose as those characters because of a bursting waistline or incomparable skin tone, making a mockery of themselves and shame on the characters they portray. (I did not even try to take any picture of these epic failure) Next week I will be visiting the Annual Gunpla exhibition at Bugis+, stay tuned for another exciting ...

This significant day seems to add on more meaning to my life. My daughter's birthday falls on this day and many other things just add on making it a day i cannot forget.

My fifth time donating blood, didn't even know it and the person say i would get another medal if i do it for the tenth time. Not that i fancy having medals but it feels good to achieve this milestone. Now to keep healthy so that i can hit my next target in two years time.

It's a nice place with a cool ambiance but a very hot and humid weather. Great view and would live to visit again soon.

We celebrated my wife birthday with Melvin, our long time friend of many years. Went back to our favourite haunt to feast. The smooth background music and the sound of waves hitting the shore was such a relaxing experience.

It has been 10 long year since my wife and I went on a tour. How did I managed to remember? Cause its my princess birthday soon. The last time we went to KL for a short trip cause my wife had slight post natal problem and need to get away for a while. Turn out that although we did meet a lot of inconvenience we still enjoyed ourselves. Planning for another trip soon but won't be this year because there are just too much activities going on in year end.

Did anybody miss me? Well, I have been away from blogging for sometime and hope that I can kick start a better and more consistent posting from now on. Wish me well and give me encouragement, alright?

How normal can i become after the fiasco last year? Will this be a better year than the previous? Only time will tell.

The only power I have is the power of the present moment. I have to live in the now. I have to have a sense of nowness and be a nowist. Author unknown.

Finally back, really couldn't believe what happen the past year but I'm glad to say I'm still in one piece. I really hope to get my life back again and enjoy it. Live your life to the fullest!

Mum passed away today. My heart hurts alot and I don't know what to do to make it stop. Mum, I love u.

It's my birthday today! I had a wonderful morning as my wife gave me a surprise! She baked a cheese cake for me! Yummy, it tastes so good, the best cheese cake I have ever tasted! Hope the rest of the day would be as great as well!

Yesterday, one of my students had a little chat with me. She mentioned that her parents are no longer together and she only visits her father on Saturdays. She knows that her dad loves her alot but she is sad that her parents are no longer together. Although she is not the first case I know of single parent child, it still saddens me because I could sense her predicament. Her parting comment was for me to keep my family together. Yes, I promise to keep my family together, I love my wife and my daughter too much to harm them let alone give them up.

Visited the gundam exhibits in seng kang. Not particularly impressed but managed to get some important info like unicorn episode ii will come in 30 oct and next week gundam 00 will open in theaters. I consider myself a late Gundam fan because I only started watching Gundam during the Gundam Seed series so you can imagine how late a convert I became. Of course I went back to catch the rest of the Gundam series but still felt that nothing can beat the Macross series. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

It was raining the whole of this morning so nothing to do. It has been good so far. The food is great and the people are nice. Although you can sense that they are trained to treat you nicely but it still feel good and even the guests here are nice and best of all there are not many "tiongs" around. The only minor fault would be that the bathroom do not come with a bathtub. Alittle disappointed but still I can live with it. Yesterday, girl went on stage to perform and its a nice experience for her so far too. We also had our little couple massage infront of the coast view, NICE! I wasn't very comfortable with the massage at first, laughing everytime the masseuse hit a spot but I soon got over it and tried to relax. Its been well and I guess I look forward to more enjoyable moment here, till then it's eat, play, sleep and eat again.

This is the place where I learn what gluttony really means. Food aplenty and eat till you drop. Cool place to be and worth the cost. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone
