Today was a funny day. Not that the course was any funny but I just felt like an intellect, able to understand all that were discussed and able to internalise and digest everything that was throw at me. Cool, wish everyday would be like that. But then again I would not want to be so philosophical all my life. Dilemma???

Was at the seminar this morning and this speaker said that if I include the word flat, classroom, warlick and another word (can't rmb which one) my post will become his handouts. Well just a thought that's all not exciting at all.

Well, I like to think that my way of teaching is different from most other teachers. I like to add in fun, and most of all do things differently from the norm. Who would have thought of using Warhead sweets to teach the 7 things a living organism can do? Well, yours truly did that. Who would act as a harry porter wannabe when teaching? Well, right again, I did that. I love to do things others would never dare do and that's what makes me different and finally I don't really care how the other teachers look at my way of teaching because I think it works for me. Today is another busy day. Rushing like mad with all the scripts and marks. This is the time I really wish I was back teaching P6. Now the P6 teachers are so relax, not like us. Well, there is always 2 sides to a coin. Can't have everything working for you. OK, got a wish list of things to complete and hopefully it will be smooth sailing till year end.

I was trying to update some information on my website that I realised I have completely forgotten the password and user ID to login. Think I'm really getting old, luck I still have my old computer with me and I have back up the server password. If not I will have to do a complete overhaul and that would be massive. Finally over. A pity that they never learn their lesson. Kept wanting to stay wake but cannot make it till morning. Told them so many times but they refused to listen. Well serve them right, but poor me had to stay awake the whole night to keep watch over them. I know they would not listen to me because I have been talking much sense into them from the limited time I spent with them so I know for sure they would not heed my instruction and follow strictly to me commands. Well, when will they ever learn? Came back and sleep for dunno how long and that I'm going to sleep somemore once I get to bathe......oh how I miss my lovely bed and pillow. Yawn......goodnite.

Very boring day, not much accomplished. Tomorrow I wan to try botak jones heehee. Hope it will not disappoint. The rest very much the same, met some old friends and made some new ones. Hope the next three days will be more fun. Tomorrow going to check out Bedok central. Yea check it out babe. Also up my level for GTomron to lvl 17 all by myself. Compare to my bootes one still far behind but never really train a warrior b4 so its good to try.

Recently there has been alot of ranting about the teaching profession, exams and pressure on students (not that its any less on other days just that its kind of the off season after exams kind of stuff). Well to me teaching is about heart work. There are alot of teachers out there who thinks that they can get away from duties and responsibilities by passing on to others (etc. parents, students and even the tutors). However, there is really no way we can determine whether a teacher is good cause there is really no way to measure the results(too many external contributors). The only way is to ask our own conscience. Are we doing the things we ought to do or are we just going through the motion because that's what is required? Ask your heart, I know my answer do you know yours? Do what you think its right because you answer to yourself.

Really had the pleasure of helping Michael in his maiden classroom teaching experience. Really hoped that he had gain much from this experience and put them to good use. I felt recharged from this experience of helping him and I guess the reward for me could have far exceeded what I had expected. Mentoring....hmm.....not a bad idea....heehee.

Shared my attachment to ETD today, else nothing much just dead beat tired. My students got their results yesterday, was surprised that they did well, of course some disappointment but overall its good and wish them all the best in their secondary school life. Went Ubin for the course today. Really too many changes and the ChekJawa walk was cool. I really like the nature there and think I might bring my duaghter over maybe even my students too. It was a rewarding course and many times better than stay in school for those meetings. Finally tomorrow is the big day and I just wish all would get the results they wanted. A caterpillar as big as my finger! A mud Crab. Look at the crawls, they look big! Two stick insects mating! Look carefully and you will see them.

First day of course, Prof Shawn Lum is a very lay-back fellow. Had lunch at BK orchard and even found time to browse at borders which was great. I did not end up buying anything cos there wasn't enough time for it. Went back to school in the morning to finish some unfinished business and hope everything will be fine for the next 3 days. Tomorrow's course will be a MacRitchie Reservoir and Labrador Park. Just keep my fingers crossed that it will not pour. England is playing Croatia on Wednesday, hopfully I can catch that match. With Bent, Defoe and Robinson in the squat it will be a good match to watch.

Yea, 1 week may seems short but I do miss my pupils very much. Especially this period after PSLE, they would have nothing to do and without me they would be dead bored. The attachment was great, I really learnt alot and there is much I can do to change my teaching methods. However as school is coming to a close I can only hope to put all these into use next year. Went out with some of my pupils today to watch a "the seeker". Not a bad show but the ending is not fantastic. I guess they had fun at the arcade as well. Not going to school this friday and hence will ask my students to get some things done in my absence. Next week is the last week I'm going to see them, would that they would remember this teacher some point in their life.

Well 2 days into my attachment and I still feel good about it. Although I have to go home late for the whole of this week I still feel refresh. I could get in touch with the latest technology in teaching and learning and this is way too cool. We went to Sungei Buloh today and discovered that technology can indeed be useful in outdoor situation to help facilitate learning. Coming to think about it I have really let down my students this year as I did not emplyed enough ICT in my teaching this year as compared to the last or even way back. I need to get back my best so that my students will get the most out of the lessons. My class girls won the captain's ball inter-class competition. I knew all along that they were able of do it. Now just how should I reward them......

Starting my attachment today. Don't know what to expect really except that I have to travel to very far places for 2 of the days. Just hope it will be fun.

Two days of PSLE has passed, some cried while handing in their mathematics paper. I can only pray that all of them would pull through. The paper was not very difficult but I guess pressure plays apart. Please look forward to your other 2 papers as each one is as important as the other.

Its children's day today, most of them were not in the mood to study, but I still tried my best to rush their work. I just hope that they will do well, each and everyone from my class. Sang a song with some other teachers and the first time I played guitar infront of the crowd. Still not good but at least I went through it without much problem. Got to practice more. 4 days to go and my duty will be completed. Come guys, please stay focus.

Wah, so kelong, never tot they would do so well, nvm boost their morale but sad for my wallet. Hai, no choice I must keep my word mah. I just hope they can reproduce the results when it matters.

Today is PSLE oral, I wonder how my pupils did. I guess I will never find out so I just have to pray hard. The passage was easy and the theme was easy too, I just hope they will do well cause they need the marks.....Now on to CA2

I was on my way back to school from lunch today when I decided to patrol the neighbourhood to look out for wayward students. I spotted 2 of them in the playground and nicely went up and advised them to go home. However, they decided to play hide and seek with me when they thought that I have left after they pretended to be on their way home. I trailed them to see if they were up to any mischief but they discovered my trail and tried to run away. I followed them through their effort of hiding from me. I can't say I'm a master in spying on my students but I surely am an old hand when compared to my students. I finally caught one of them and asked them for their names. I don't think I will report them but I would certainly talk to them when they are back in school. I have to admit that I had fun chasing after them.....heehee. To a certain extend I felt that its the school's job to ensure that the students are home after school and not roam around the neighbourhood, who kno...
