I used to think that building a relationship with my students is a good thing. I always wanted to attend one of my student's wedding someday. Such a dream could back fire and get you into a pretty lousy mess. I guess I really do have to make a choice on how deep I want my relationship with them to be. They are usually only with me for 1 year, I could only influence them that much, after which it all depends on their own destiny and I really have not much control over. Hence I want to make it very plain that I will only cherish the moment I have these little ones with me and do what I could to mould them and relinquish my responsibility once they are on their own path. I could only do so much, GT? Nah I'm just a HOT.
